You had to make one eventually! You really did. Because Dune is the ULTIMATE sci-fi series, and I will go so far as to say it IS better than Star Wars.

Ahhh... The old Dune/ Star Wars quarrle... well, I really liked them both, but Movie wise, I think I prefure Star Wars, simply because It was Dierected better The Dune. Dune was made before Star Wars in 1984, and was a low budget film, also it was in the cinimar for about a week, so I think concidering, it was amazing, Children Of Dune made in 2000 was also fantastic (though full of crap CGI affects) Book wize, I don't know, I havent read star Wars and I'm not planning to, Though I am going to read Dune I've just orderd a copy of Dune 2000 the stratagy game, This will be my thrid one, my first was stolen and seconed stopped working for some reason.  |

I can lend you Dune, if you want.
Or I can recommend you this place where you can get all the novels for £1.50.
Just a warning, if you had difficulty reading Lord of the Rings, you may have a slight problem getting into Dune.
Star Wars was ahead of it's time then, CGI effects-wise, and still is today. But it's plot will never be as good as Dune's, even though the Dune movie sucked big-time.
I have high-hopes on next year's version, which may/mayn't star Tom Cruise.
If the new Dune movie has a lot of hype about it, there may be some new video-games being released next-year.

They sell them in this fantastic little bookshop near the British Museum.
If you don't want to pay full price for the newer edition, I'm quite happy to pick you up a copy when I next go. Which should be Sunday-ish.

It signifies that the fanship and legend of Dune is not dead.  If you didn't want to fill up your bookshelf, you could get the 3-in-1. But I'm going on sunday to try and pick you up the book one anyways. |
